Small Farm Field Day

Site Conditions

Exhibitors will be informed of site numbers once they are allocated.

Exhibitors shall conform to the requirements of any local body by-law or requirement or Act of Parliament, which may govern the erection of structures, the display and/or sale of machinery and/or other products or goods of the exhibitor and any regulations, by-laws or ordinances made under such Acts.

Exhibitors are responsible for erecting exit signs and supplying fire extinguishers (as per conditions of the building consent).

The delivery of equipment and erection of displays must be completed by 9.00 AM on Sunday, 4th October 2009. Nothing may be removed from sites before 4.00 PM.

All vehicles on site at 9.00 AM on 4th October will not be allowed off the site until 4.00 PM. There is to be no movement of vehicles within the field day grounds between 9 AM and 4.00 PM unless involved with demonstrations.

Exhibitors may not sell or provide food to the public without approval from the organising committee.

No alcohol is to be served or sold during the event

Ignition keys must be removed from all vehicles not actually in use. All tent and marquee pegs must be covered with bags or tins as must other dangerous spikes, protruding objects, etc.

The organisers shall not be held liable for loss of or damage to the exhibitors' property whilst on the field day site. This includes removal from the site.

Exhibitors are responsible for the condition of the site covered by this contract during the duration of the field day and, upon the completion of the field day, exhibitors shall clear such area to the satisfaction of the committee.

The organisers reserve the right to cancel this contract and to retain any money paid in relation thereto if there is in the opinion of the organisers any infringement of any of the foregoing conditions and/or if the exhibitor does not occupy the site at the commencement of and during the full period of the said field day.

Exhibitors cancelling contracts are not eligible for any refunds.

Registration for a site will be tacit agreement of the use of the exhibitor's name for publicity and marketing purposes.

In the unlikely event of the field day committee finding it necessary to cancel the Small Farm Field Day 2008, the committee shall not be liable to the exhibitor for any compensation whether on the grounds of loss of profit or otherwise.

No refunds of site fees will be given in the event of the event being cancelled.

Animal Health
The health and welfare of all animals being exhibited at the 2009 SFFD is the responsibility of the owner.

TB: A copy of a current TB certificate must be provided to the SFFD organising committee a week prior to the event. This ensures the ongoing health & safety of all participating animals.
TB Certificates are required from all Cattle, Deer, Alpaca and Llama exhibitors.

  • Either a whole herd clear status certificate if from a Vector Free Area
  • Or an appropriate 60 day test if from a Vector Risk Area.

Note: Rangiora Racecourse falls within a Vector Control Area.

Insurance
Exhibitors must have there own public liability insurance cover.
Note: A copy of insurance certificate must be supplied to the organising committee a week prior to the event.

The following health and safety forms must be filled out and returned to the organising committee a week prior to the event.
