Building Consents for Marquees over 30m2:
A building consent is required from Waimakariri District Council (not Environment Canterbury) for all marquees that exceed 30m2. Environment Canterbury will again undertake to get consents on behalf of exhibitors who require them.
If hiring a marquee, the company concerned can get the consent for you. Be sure to ask!
If you require a building consent for a privately owned marquee from Waimakariri District Council please contact 0800 762553 or email: smallfarm.fieldday@xtra.co.nz to have an application form sent out.
We need this form by Friday 5 September 2009 as Waimakariri District Council need time to process them and a copy of the consent is required by the Fire Department as part of the Health and Safety requirements of the event.
If an exhibitor does not supply a copy of the building consent application they will not be permitted to erect a marquee larger than 30m2.
